Found Her!!!

The floating, bleeding egg was so awful and it hurt my head so much! N found a small campsite nearby and The Elephant Man found tracks leading away. We all followed quickly, but it just got worse. Fuc keeps hearing voices. The path led to towers of dirt, stone, flesh, hair, and teeth! It was so disgusting! There was a crater between them, with a big pretty piece of purple glass in the center! Then I could hear the voices too! Borrem, borrem, borrem, borrem, borrem! I tried to talk to the voices by everyone looked at me strangely, but then I couldn’t stop and I kept trying to talk to them, but no one understood!

After a while of trying to fix us, because Fuc was babbling just like me, N gave up and went into the crater. Fuc and I stopped babbling immediately! So, we all went to investigate together. Jeni Mouse said someone is inside the glass, so they start smashing it! I back way up, because the egg broke and started Bleeding everywhere, and I don’t know what this is going to do, and there’s lots of bad things here!!!

A woman comes out, with red hair, golden eyes, and purple robes, just like the glass! She’s holding a little egg that looks kinda like the big egg, only it’s not broken yet. She seems confused about being rescued, and then very alarmed. She looks at us all, making sure we’re not the weird creatures from this awful place. She says the egg crashed here and she couldn’t get away, so she tried to contain it. Someone tells her about the bleeding egg, and she gets even more scared, hurrying that way.

Her little egg is growing in her hand, but no one can take it from her or smash it. There noises from the bad things coming back. She says that this place is wrong and something is holding it here. She thinks the bad things are here because of something inside the big egg. Then N hits her egg with lightning and it explodes!!! Jeni Mouse goes quiet then, N starts laughing and screaming, Jeni Cat gets really scared of the big egg, The Elephant Man and Doon stopped moving, and the Lady starts hitting The Elephant Man. Fortunately, this made him start moving again, so Fuc hits Doon to get him going, too.

I fly up and see the bad things coming from all sides! But there’s also a way into the egg from the top. I fly back down, dusting a few and we get everyone flying up and into the egg. Jeni Cat is not about any of that, but she blindfolds herself and we keep moving. It is the absolute WORST in that egg!!! The hot and moist and there are faces in the walls, and it’s squishy and the air pulses!

Down in the center we find a bunch of the bad things, and an even worse thing with tentacles and only a mouth for a face! It’s a room of blood and islands, and we have to fight them. I stay up really high, and confuse a couple for a bit. Then I turn the tentacle guy into a bunny, but his things hit him out of it. Then I make them all glow blue. Everyone else shoots and hits and blows them all up. It’s really bad and scary and painful and I really don’t like it at all!

Then everything starts shaking, and I want to fly away, but the Lady says we have to all gather together and go back to their home. But I don’t want to go! There home is scary and Outside! But it’s scary here right now, too, so Doon grabs my hand and we all disappear. And reappear in a field outside a big dirty city. Fuc invites us to come into town for dinner before the Lady takes us back home.

The Queen and Winter!!!

The queen was amazing! She is so beautiful!! And the court played the best music! She was so cool and smooth! I want to be her when I grow up! Except I don’t, because she’s in charge of so many people and she has to make such complicated deals. Oh! Deals!

My new friends wanted to know where their friend was, so they asked the queen and Jeni Mouse also asked the Queen about not aging, and Fuc asked the Queen about the Wall? I don’t know what that was all about, something about gods and dying.

Then the offers started. Fuc offered five minutes of anger, but the Queen has her knights and doesn’t need such petty anger. He tried to get other people to offer things, but I think they were all scared from the nobles.

Fuc got impatient and offered three favors, from himself. The Queen was looking for a bit more, so Jeni Mouse offered one of them from himself, but that wasn’t it either. There was a bunch of talk of dying then, until the Queen asked for the entire group to owe her the three favors. Fuc gets frustrated with his friends at that point and wandered off to talk to a strong fae. I warn him to be careful, but he waved me away.

The group eventually decided to agree to the three favors, but the Queen still wanted more, or maybe different. She notices some strange ‘passengers’ inside N and Jeni Cat. She offers to take these off their hands. Jeni Cat says no, she already has a plan with someone called Lady G. N is really not sure either, he seems really worried.

While N thinks about it, the Queen approached The Elephant Man. He hadn’t offered anyone anything, yet, but he couldn’t think of what to say. Nevitash tries to counter with another offer of childhood memories, his little sister this time. Jeni Mouse then offered his glass-making skills. The Queen isn’t interested in taking what makes them who they are. N thinks that what her other offer will do, but she insists it would be a good deed for one of her subjects. One of the fey is in N??? What kind? Who is in there???

The Elephant Man finally comes up with something. He says he has no source, and he is willing to follow her. The Queen likes this very much and revises her request to two favors, his Devotion, and N’s nature spirit. N takes off his armor to sit on the ground and have a think. When he opens his eyes again, he agrees! The Queen is very pleased and the deal is struck. She removes N’s nature spirit, and he looks a bit uneasy. Then she gives them a leaf which is a map to Fistandia.

Jeni Mouse then asked about aging. She asks him to come to the Autumn Court every year, and serve her court, make beautiful glass art, and she will keep age from him for a long while. He asks if he can work on other projects while here. She says yes, so long as he destroys nothing of her realm. Jeni Mouse checks with N, who says it sounds fine, and another deal is made, with an acorn to seal the deal.

Then she tells us that Fistandia came here to get an escort to the Winter court. Several went with her, and none of them have been seen since. It was many seasons ago, but the group isn’t sure what that means. Time is different for them. I ask for a promise of protection to go with them, and everyone agrees.

We left fairly quickly then, following the leaf. Walking through Autumn all the way to Winter. Winter is strange and rocky, and we did not go unnoticed. Doon caught us up, and concerned for my safety, decided to come along. He says where we’re going there are no seasons anymore, that the courts have lost control.

It starts getting dangerous and strange. I fall back to the group instead of leading. I was smart, too! Super creepy rotting creatures and one with a bunch of mouths and legs and tentacles jump out of the ground at us. I just hid for the battle, and they killed them all pretty quickly. They’re good protectors!

We head on and the terrain gets weirder. Floating rocks and broken ground. Then Fuc and The Elephant Man fell over. We couldn’t wake them. N got a little weird, too. It took so long for them to wake up again, but Jeni Mouse said they weren’t dead. I start to wonder if there are invisible people around, so I try to think at them. Everything got REALLY LOUD then!!!

When I woke up, we moved on quickly. It starts to smell like metals, and the land is grey. Then we found a pool of reddish orange liquid with a big floating sphere with a bunch of holes, dripping even more liquid. Is that Blood??? Fuc tasted some and started shouting and fighting with nothing, until Jeni Cat made him sleep.

The leaf says this is the place.

New Friends!!!

Hi! Jeni here! Scout report number…. Oh, I don’t know, it’s all just so exciting!

I met some new friends today! They just appeared out of the air with a genie in tow! Well, I think the genie was towing them, if I’m honest, but… a Genie!!! An actual Genie!

And they were so strange for Outsiders! A frog, a cat, a mouse, an elephant, and a green man. They looked more like fae than the usual Outsiders. But they really had never been here, and they had no idea where to go! I just HAD to Help them!

The green man had the sweetest, buttery candies! He said they wanted to go to the Winter Court, looking for somebody called Fistandia? I don’t know, something like that. The cat told me her name, and so did the frog! Oh no! They really do have no idea!

I tried to show the, but the frog got Really upset and jumped at me. I apologized and he let me go, but not before Winter responded. Oh dear! It was Doon, of all fae, of course it was. He’s so scary! I told him it was fine, but he threatened the frog. I think he liked it! Oh dear!

I really had to explain about the rules then, but I’ve never really tried to do that before, and I started with gifts, but it didn’t go very well. The mouse gave me a couple coins that smelled like the Ocean, he said. What’s an Ocean? It smells like salt and fish! When I tried to get them to trade for the other rules, it didn’t go very well.

Then Wind Dancer showed up, and she knew how to talk to them better about our realm and gifts and things. She asked them all what to call them, and they weren’t very creative. They decided on Jeni Two, Jeni Three, N, The Elephant Man, and Fuc. I don’t think the frog meant it to come out that way, but he giggled to hear her say it, so he left it alone. Then he promised peace to the Autumn Court in exchange for more information on the rules.

There’s a lot of talking about rules and fairy dust and elemental life, but finally Wind Dancer is satisfied and joins us on our way to court. She tells them they have to convince Three Nobles to support their bid to see the Queen. I am dreading them trying to trade with nobles, and it looks like they are, too. N is already very angry about everything.

It’s so pretty at Court! All the beautiful Autumn Colors! And all the tasty treats and shiny baubles. And Ooooh the Dresses! If only it wasn’t for the rules, I’d stay at court forever! But the game is heavy here, and I cannot stay for long. Help my friends and then their genie can take them home again. Then freedom in the trees once more!

Wind Dancer spots Treyvon first. Wind Dancer introduces them, and we try to help them be careful with their offerings as they try to offer things they’ve made of metal again. Eventually, N offers a set of childhood memories, Fuc offers to enact violence elsewhere for him, the mouse Jeni offers a lavender pillow to keep away bad dreams. Treyvon seems a bemused by some of them, but accepts N’s offer, and goes on his way. N’s in a really bad mood again, I hope he can stay calm.

Then Wind Dancer spots the Mouseguard nobles! They’re so cute and furry! I introduce the Jeni’s and Fuc to Acorn Icetwist. Mouse Jeni enjoys looking at all their contraptions and talking about mouse life and the mouse folk here. It’s a lot different on the Outside. After some talk, he trades two months of Big Boy, his metal mount, for their support with the Queen.

I don’t know how, but Wind Dancer manages to catch sight of Joy Quickcliff and call her over. Everyone talks too slowly, and I have to give her one of N’s sweeties to stay and listen. She rejects their offers over and over, until finally getting cat Jeni to offer her Tarot. Not just a reading, but her ability and her deck, for Joy’s support with the Queen. Oh boy, I hope this quest is worth it, they’ve given up So Much today!

The deals made, the first step complete. We can all feel it settle on us. Wind Dancer then takes us right to the Court to see the Queen!!! She is so Beautiful and Elegant and Wonderful!!! Her Knights are super scary, though! I hope I did a good job this time!
